Lodging at Emmaus
If you requested on-campus housing, we will have a room ready on our dorm floors. These rooms are furnished with one or two single beds and a dresser. Single rooms have community washrooms; therefore, men and women will be on different floors. We are unable to provide family lodging. If you are planning to attend with your children, please make off campus housing arrangements. We provide the bed, linens, meals, and conference packet. We do not provide towels, toiletries, or an alarm clock.
There are several hotels near Emmaus with reasonable rates. A comprehensive list of local accommodations can be found at www.traveldubuque.com.
Buffet-style meals are included in your registration fees and will be provided from Thursday evening through Sunday morning at Emmaus. Additionally, our dining hall will be open for refreshments most of the weekend.
Though Iron Sharpens Iron is an adult conference, as a benefit to our attending families, childcare will be offered for children ages 10 and under during the plenary sessions only. Children age 10 and under are not required to pay a registration fee, but parents will need to pre-register for this service (when you register for the conference). Childcare is $10 per child for the entire conference. Children’s meal tickets ($5/ticket ages 4-12; 3 and under free) will be available for purchase at the reception desk. Emmaus does not provide family lodging.
Emmaus is a 15 minute drive from the Dubuque Regional Airport, serviced by American Airlines. Many local hotels provide free shuttle service to and from the airport and Enterprise services the airport. If you aren’t driving, we suggest contacting one of the services below providing fee-based transportation throughout the tri-state area.
